We've redesigned the research creation experience from the ground up to make it fast, flexible, and intuitive for the whole team. Projects are easier to get started and faster to launch, you’ll have more visibility and control of the participant experience, and you can now collaborate with your team from first draft to project completion.

What to expect from the new experience

• Faster and easier research creation: The project setup experience has been redesigned to allow for easier editing, to make moving through the setup steps faster, and to make the overall experience more intuitive for newer researchers.
• Built-in collaboration from the start: Invite collaborators to be part of the research design process, to leave comments or suggestions, and to participate in sessions by configuring attendance rules. Or, set up and manage a project on behalf of a teammate while automating invites and scheduling.
• More visibility and control of the participant experience: When conducting research with your own users, edit and preview all of the communication your participants will receive. Select a template, customize touch points, and ensure your users have a great experience contributing their insights.
• Easier to update projects as you learn: We’ve merged research creation and management into a single experience so you can more easily edit details post-launch and make updates as you go.

We beta tested the new project experience over the last few months and involved hundreds of customers in providing feedback.

Our beta customers have described the new workspace as “clean and sleek,” “intuitive,” “self-explanatory,” and have noted its impact on speed and teamwork—“it’s streamlined,” "it was so easy,” and “collaborative drafts worked great.”

What this means for you and your team

Why we overhauled the workspace

Back when we started User Interviews, we wanted to make it easy to find and recruit the right participants for research. We focused our early efforts on supporting UX researchers to recruit from our own fast-growing panel of participants.

Fast forward to today, and we’ve seen a lot of change both in our product and within the research industry at large. On the User Interviews side, we’ve grown our panel to over 4 million participants, significantly reduced recruitment time (first qualified match under an hour), and evolved our product—for example, with the launch of Research Hub, to help teams manage research with their own user base.

Throughout this journey, we’ve consistently heard that research teams need a process that is fast, flexible, collaborative, and predictable. To support these needs today, and to enable some exciting future innovations, we decided to invest in a major overhaul of the workspace—and we’re so excited to be unveiling it to you all today!
