Emily (she/her) is an archivist and ethnomusicologist working in UXR.
As an academic, she examined the relationship between electronic music production software and cultural authenticity, conducting fieldwork and interviews along the way. She brought ethnographic methodology to public service roles in academic libraries, leading ethnographic studies of library spaces and services.
Emily has over 10 years of experience gathering, identifying, evaluating, organizing, and sharing information. She is currently the Senior Design Research Specialist at SAP, where she advocates for human-centered research and utilizes archival practice to make research more findable, shareable, and impactful.
