What is a user test or survey?
An user test is just that—an opportunity for a user to try out a product, app, website, etc and share feedback. A survey is a simple questionnaire. Both user tests and surveys are done by the participant on their own anytime before the study’s deadline. Unmoderated studies are a great choice for busy participants since you can complete the task whenever best suits you, and for participants who enjoy working solo.
How do I participate in a user test or survey?
First, apply to a study! The researcher will review applications and select participants for the study. If you’re selected, you’ll receive a scheduling email allowing you to opt in to participating before the deadline. Once confirmed, you’ll receive instructions about how to access and complete your unmoderated task.
Pay special attention to directions on how to submit your user test or survey before the deadline! You can always message your researcher if you have questions or need assistance.
How and when are incentive payments distributed?
You’ll see the incentive type and amount before applying to a study. The incentive will be paid out within 10 business days (usually much sooner) once you’ve successfully participated in and completed your session.
