About the Course

Eniola Abioye, a UX expert and Meta researcher, will lead our free, 2-week course that is designed for professionals in UX Research, Research Operations (ReOps), and others looking to show the business impact and ROI of research within their organizations.

Upon completion of the program, you’ll be able to better connect research with revenue and business objectives, from identifying the right KPIs to roadmap alignment and calculating the ROI of your efforts.

Curriculum

Week 1
January 8: Making Sense of the Business + Where Research Fits into Long-term Revenue Planning

What it includes: This session will help you understand the inner workings of your organization and give you the tools to confidently and actively participate in critical discussions on research’s business impact. You’ll work through key concepts such as goal and opportunity sizing and incremental revenue, with supporting case studies to help shed light on the practical applications of this knowledge.

What you’ll learn: How to piece together multiple (and at times, fragmented) business insights into a cohesive understanding of what drives revenue, and ultimately, where research can have the greatest impact.

Week 2
January 15: Calculating ROI + Communicating Impact to Stakeholders + Live Q&A!

What it includes: Guidance on the fundamentals of communicating the business impact of research, including the best ways to calculate ROI and when and where to share information with key stakeholders. We’ll then make time to have your questions answered live by our course instructor.

What you’ll learn: Attendees will walk away with the ability to calculate and clearly articulate their insights to create maximum impact across the company.

About the instructor

Eniola Abioye is a Senior UX Researcher at Meta and the Founder of UX Outloud, a UXR career coaching practice in the SF Bay Area. As a user researcher with 10 years of experience across industries, Eniola is passionate about driving intuitive and accessible product design. She guides researchers in building efficient approaches to insight development, strategic storytelling, and impact definition in her work as a career coach.

With a background in integrative biology, she understands the value of bringing various perspectives to product research. And as the UXR landscape has shifted in the past couple years, Eniola is working to advance the democratization of user-centricity across teams building experiences. In progress towards that goal, this course covers the basic tenets of user research and enables a wide range of professionals to engage with and develop actionable insights.
